Math Test Reminder

The next 5B math test will be on Monday, April 27. Please use your study guide and  the Unit 8 website links to prepare. I've recently added more links to help practice with fraction word problems.

End of the year (EOY) PARCC Testing

The EOY PARCC Testing will begin on Monday, April 27. During the week of April 27, please have your child bring in a set of headphones. A link to the 5th grade schedule is posted at the top right side of this website. There is also another link to use for practice EOY PARCC tests as well.

"Shh...We're Writing the Constitution"

Reminder:

We will perform for Owen students on Wednesday morning at 9:30. Please wear your costume to school and you will be able to change after our morning performance. 
For the night performance please arrive at school no later than 6:45pm. We will meet in the multipurpose room.
Costume:
Each student will need to wear dark colored dress pants. They also need to wear a white shirt, preferably with a collar. Students will need to wear dress shoes with a pair of long white socks. Girls should have their hair pulled back into a ponytail (if long enough).

This is a run for Literacy!  Please Join us at this awesome fun family focused event!! This is a VERY "family friendly" Run/ Walk!

G.L.O.W 5K / Run

June 6 / start time 8pm  

 

*Registration will be capped out at2,000 participants.  The website does say 2,500, but that is incorrect. REGISTER NOW!  There will be a price increase starting mid-May.

 

 

*The race is on social media.  You can follow "Glow5Krun" on Instagram and you can like "Jeanine Nicarico Memorial Fund for Literacy" on Facebook.

 

And now for the good stuff...AWARDS.  Yes there will be awards the night of the Glow Run for:

 

1.  Overall fastest male and female runner

 

2.  Best Glowing Individual

 

3.  Best Glowing Team

 

4.  The 203 and 204 elementary school with the highest number of participants will win a free author visit next year from Anderson's Bookshop.
