Unit 3 Math Test

The Unit 3 Math (part B) test will be on Wednesday, December 18. Please have your student use his/her study guide to prepare. Students should also review notes, previous homework assignments, quizzes and Unit 3 links to help prepare.  Topics include long division, factors, prime and composite numbers

Southeast Test (States, Capitals, and Abbreviations)

We've completed our study guide for the Southeast States. Hopefully your child has shared the test date with you. We will have a test on the Southeast states, capitals and abbreviations on Tuesday, December 3. Students can use his/her study guide and the geography link to prepare. Here's a suggested timeline:
Week 1: Learn the 12 Southeast states' location on the map
Week 2: Learn the 12 Southeast states' capital
Week 3: Learn the 12 Southeast states' abbreviation

4B Math Test

The Unit 3 Math (part A) test will be on Tuesday, November 19. Please have your student use his/her study guide to prepare. Students should also review notes, previous homework assignments, quizzes and Unit 3 links to help prepare.

Fall Conferences

If you haven't signed up for a Fall conference, please sign up before November 19. Conferences will be held on Thursday, November 21, and Monday, November 25.

The Southeast

Today we began our studies of the Southeast Region. We completed a study guide for the states capitals and abbreviations. The test for the states, capitals and abbreviations will be on Tuesday, December 3. This will give each student plenty of time to prepare. We will also practice at school.

4B Math Test

The Unit 2 Math test will be on Monday, October 21. Please have your student use his/her study guide to prepare. Students should also review notes, previous homework assignments, quizzes and Unit 2 links to help prepare.

Test on Northeast States

We've completed our study guide for the Northeast States. Hopefully your child has shared the test date with you. We will have a test on the Northeast states, capitals and abbreviations on Wednesday, October 16. Students can use his/her study guide and the geography link to prepare. Here's a suggested timeline:
Week 1: Learn the 11 Northeast states' location on the map
Week 2: Learn the 11 Northeast states' capital
Week 3: Learn the 11 Northeast states' abbreviation

4B FALL PROJECT

We will be creating a fun fall project in class. Your child will need to bring in the following materials to participate:

Old Shirt (Adult sized)

New roll of toilet paper

The shirt will not be returned, it will be used as part of the project. So make sure that it is an old shirt that is no longer needed. Please have the materials by Monday, September 30.

4B Math Test

The Unit 1 Math test will be on Thursday, September 26. Please have your student use his/her study guide to prepare. Students should also review notes, previous homework assignments, quizzes and unit 1 links to help prepare.

Word Study Test

Our first word study test will be on Monday, September 9. Your child should use their Unit 1 list of words and his/her word study sentences to prepare.

Science Quiz

Queen Helen Made Prune Rice Cookies! Has your child used this sentence to prepare for our upcoming  scientific method quiz? The first letter of each word stands for a step in the scientific process. (Question, Hypothesis, Materials, Procedure, Results, Conclusion) 

The scientific method quiz will be on Wednesday, September 4.

Flashlight Read

To kick off the 30 Book Challenge, we will have our first flashlight read on this Friday, August 30. We will dim the lights and read by flashlight during our independent reading time. Please bring a small flashlight to participate.
